Valentine’s Advent Freebie

IMG_5704 Last January I asked my husband if he knew what day Valentine’s Day was on (because I was curious if he knew) and he replied Feb 12th, 15th?  I was shocked!!!  Doesn’t everyone know every holiday date?  I do(I think).  But Valentine’s Day, really…everyone knows its February 14th, at least that’s what I thought!  So it got me thinking maybe we need to spice things up more for this LOVE holiday.  I found a cute advent calendar idea on Love Actually and decide to create my own version.  I love XOXO’s and thought I could find a way to make an advent using that so I did!  This is how I did it:
1.  I got a 4 Valentine’s scrapbook pages 12x12 in size.
2.  Then I created a stencil by printing XOXO on cardstock. Since I like to share you can use the one I did: Click HERE for X and Click HERE for O!
3.  I traced the letters on my scrapbook pages and cut them out.
4.  I then sewed together my scrapbook paper X with my stencil X with a zigzag stitch, making sure to leave 4 opening for my advent pieces.  I repeated with the other X.  I then did the same with the O, except you only leave 3 openings for advent pieces.
5.  Print the 2 pages of advents, Click HERE for Page 1 and HERE for Page 2.  Cut them out and put inside the XOXO.
6.  Start using the advent and see if you fall in love all over again!!!

It was SO much fun doing this advent!  Ben and I enjoyed reminiscing and making new memories!  We agreed it would be something we would do every year!
XOXO, Cammie

  1. I really love this idea of an advent calendar for Valentine's Day and Love Actually's idea for having the theme of "Remember When." I love the Love Actually blog they have so many great ideas! Another good blog/website is the datingdivas.com! I'm doing something similar to this for Valentine's Day for my hubby only I will be putting love notes and possibly "Remember when" notes into a mailbox that I got at Target for $1.00. Notes will be added to the mailbox each day leading up to Valentine's Day. I'm familiar with your website and I love your meal planning system...although I haven't bought one yet. :) I'm a new follower!
