Don’t forget about our GIVEAWAY!! Today is the LAST DAY to enter to win our Pocket Planning System!
Before I get to the Halloween-y things, Cammie had her baby!!! She was induced Tuesday morning and had a perfect baby boy by that afternoon! Mommy and baby are doing very well, and they came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. He’s seriously perfect!
Now…Halloween!
I was standing in the checkout line at Wal-Mart the other day and saw this
I just had to have…so I made one! Here’s what you need:
Wreath of any size (I used a 12” straw wreath, but you can use a styrofoam)
black duct tape or electrical tape
lots of candy corn (almost 2 bags of Brachs)
hot glue
ribbon
mod podge
Here’s what you do:
You don’t need to cover the entire wreath in candy corn, only the front half. So, pick a place to start and glue the candy corn a row at a time, alternating the direction they point (mine is so NOT perfect!)
The last step is very necessary…you need to let the candy corn dry out and then seal the whole wreath with Mod Podge or a glossy spray or anything you might have! I had enough glossy spray to cover most of my wreath and thought it would be good enough, and the first day I hung it on my door the frost from the night before started melting any exposed candy corn! It was dripping down my front door! So…I need to fix mine, and I haven’t taken a final picture of mine on my door, but it really does look just like the original picture from Woman’s Day! Just remember to seal the candy corn or you will be sorry!
I know this wasn’t the most relevant birthday bash tutorial…but I couldn’t help it! But, tomorrow is HUGE! Seriously…if you or any of your friends, family, whoever, wants our Pocket Meal Planning system, tomorrow is the day to check out our site! We will not only be announcing the winner of our giveaway, but we have a super duper deal to offer! But that’s all I can say right now! Tell everyone! It’s big! We have to finish our birthday week with a bang!
Have a great Thursday!
Welcome to the new baby boy! Congratulations to Cammie, et al....
